Playing in Pink – a rip-roaring success
Our ‘Play in Pink’ Fun day held on the 18th of July last, was a rip-roaring success with a 130 ladies answering the call to play in pink, and close to 50 men donning the pink shirts and joining ‘The Tuesdays’! Between us we raised over €2,850 for the ‘Play in Pink Charity’ – a charity dedicated to funding research into Breast Cancer.
The winners, Siobhan Merity and Helen Mangan had a terrific score of 43 points. Siobhan spoke of her delight in winning a competition that was associated with a charity that was so close to her heart. Helen too said, for her, the win was one to savour. They were popular and worthy winners and we await to hear if their great score will be good enough to qualify for the Play in Pink Finals to be held on Friday 22nd September, 2017 at the Galway Bay Golf Resort. #FingersCrossed
We also congratulate Greg Harkness who with 21 points won the Men’s ‘Playing in Pink’ Competition. Greg very generously sponsored the first prize in our raffle (two Armani watches – a Ladies and a Gents) so we were delighted his great score took top honours. We thank him sincerely for his support not only for this event, but throughout the year.
We are grateful for all the support – those who generously donated prizes to our raffle, those who supported that raffle, and those who played and joined in the fun.
