January Course Work Update
Since the shutdown on 30th December 2020, Gerry and the team have been busy maintaining the course, so that when we get the green light to resume play, it will be in the exceptional condition that we all have been accustomed to.
They have been giving the greens and the surrounding areas a lot of attention such as regular cutting of the surfaces, dew brushed daily, Quadatining of the surfaces and slit tining every 2 weeks as well as fungicide and Iron seaweed spraying. They were hollow cored as well in January. No doubt we will see the benefit of all this work to the greens when we get back out on the course.
The tee boxes have been cut, sprayed and slit tined regularly with some of the wetter tees getting a top dressing. The team have also taken the opportunity to repair and service some of the sprinklers as well as restoring some of the worn areas around the course with replacement sodding.
