Captains Loretto & Owen Finally Get To Drive …
After a torrid 2020 year for both Captains Loretto and Owen, including missing out on their ceremonial Captain’s Drive-In on St. Patrick’s Day, both Captains finally got to drive off the first tee together and play a 9-hole round in the winter sunshine on Wed 2nd December 2020 … the day after the course re-opened.
Their playing opposition was Vice Captain Jim Fitzgerald and Wednesday Golf Society Captain John White.
The post-round picnic under the gazebo was not quite a Captain’s Dinner but it looks like the coffee was welcome on a cold December day.
